I don't want to hate anyone either but, I hate him. with a passion. There is NO good in him. AND....I used to idolize him as a sports person.....

Wait! Wait! Where are you going? I was gonna make Espresso!

reply

I go between hate and pity towards him. I idolized him too - remember hearing Nicole died and then that he was the suspect - he came off as such a nice guy that he was the last person I would have thought would do something like that.

Dude had the world by the tail - younger people don't realize he was the 70s/80s equivalent of say, Peyton Manning in terms of popularity. Had everyone fooled.

Sadly it sounds like Jason has to battle some of the same demons.

reply

I know, right? I first heard she was killed and felt so bad for him. But then, of course, they charged him and the chase, etc. I was shocked as well.
and he DID have the whole world!
Now Jason I feel bad for. :(

Judge not lest ye be judged.
What have you done that makes you fearful of being judged?

And what would the world be like if people never judged each other?

It would be immoral, lawless chaos, with the strong subjugating the weak.

I personally love him despite the fact he did it.

He was in love and in a rage lost control. He isn't a threat to society. I actually feel sad he is locked up now. Double jeapordy isn't right. He bought the first verdict and deserves his freedom.

He was an amazing athelete. Funny actor and a very charasmatic guy. Nicole put up with his abuse because she was a whore who wanted the fame, access and money. She could have left earlier and took greater measures to protect herself. She didn't. She loved that alimony and all the perks. She also teased OJ a lot. She didn't deserve what she got. But she sure did a lot of ignorant things.

reply

Yeah, Nicole pursued OJ the last time they got back together - he had moved on and was resistant at first (they split up again a few weeks before her death. People assume they divorced in 1992 and OJ stalked her that whole time. By no means did she deserve what happened - don't get me wrong - but it was a "sick" relationship by both parties.

She was even having an affair with his close friend Marcus Allen - playing with fire there.

First of all, I can't believe what I just read.
And OK.....what about Ron???????

Wait! Wait! Where are you going? I was gonna make Espresso!

reply

Oh Ron - no good deed goes unpunished (he was bringing Nicole's mothers eyeglasses to her). Truly tragic.

reply

So terrible. :( and , I use that phrase almost every day!!!! And it is so true!

Wait! Wait! Where are you going? I was gonna make Espresso!

Yes, I don't believe anyone is all good or all bad. The sad thing is Juice obviously had mental/rage issues that he needed help for but I don't see him ever admitting he needs help.

Not making excuses for him but his father left their family when he was young for another man - not exactly common back then. OJ also saw him wearing women's clothing in public many times with friends present - I cannot imagine growing up in the projects with that happening back in those days. (No, I'm not homophobic but can see where the problems may have stemmed from that) - his mother worked long hours too.

Being an armchair psychiatrist - but he probably was angry at his father, was running around (he admits it) getting in trouble. After his football career started I am sure people looked the other way with any bad behavior. Since I'm guessing he never dealt with his issues and also had to have a public persona - contributed to the Jekyll/Hyde syndrome.
