(Spoilers) Thank you...

...Skrulls for making Peter Park take of his mask and show his face to Quentin Beck so he can expose his secret identity to the whole world. That whas clever.

But now seriously I hope Talos you make up for this mess by transforming into Peter Parker while the real one goes as Spider-Man saving peoole.

reply

That is a pretty clever solution to a problem. Kudos!

Fury needs to get on with that right away!

reply

Yeah I can't see how they could fix this any other way if at all. Except time travel of course.

reply

There are so many comic book world implications created by the Mysterio JJJ reveal.

Sokovia accords
Local law enforcement vs vigilantism.
Underaged person (with or without the Iron Spider suit) being a deadly weapon operating with impunity.

Surveillance cameras are everywhere (not to mention cell phone cameras) his location and his secret are bound to get out eventually. Parker needs a year 2020 way to keep his identity a secret.

Or....

He becomes SHIELD sanctioned as a hero and operates out of a facility and not going to and fro from his Aunt's apartment?

reply

Secret identities are meaningless in the MCU though. Everyone knows who is who. Spider-Man was the only one whose identity was a secret.

But it makes the mask kinda meaningless if everyone will continue to know Peter Parker is Spider-Man.

reply

Spider-Man is indeed just a kid that is a Superhero which makes him having even a quasi normal life rather impossible if he has no secret alter ego. Peter Parker isn't actually a secret identity. It is Spider-Man that is his secret identity.

Most fans care about Peter as Spider-Man rather than Spiderman as Peter. As Marvel goes into this next phase any characters that are introduced around Peter's age or reference group will indeed have secret identities as a hero or villain at least for a while. With every hero and or villain being out in the open just how would that work?

reply

It would be really stupid if every heroes and villains identity would be exposed to the world. If heroes don't hide their faces than their is no reason to use masks.

The X-Men will surely be secret though but I doubt the Fantastic Four will.

reply

Funny you say that cause except for Wolverine and Cyclops, none of the X-Men wear masks. Colossus' metal face is sort of a mask. But Rogue, Storm, Jean (she did wear an eye mask in the 60s but hasn't for a long time), Gambit, Jubilee, Ice Man, Angel, Nightcrawler, and Beast don't wear masks.

reply

I say secret because the X-Men try to hide their power to normal humans since they fear mutants. Yes they most of the X-Men don't wear masks but they "hide and fight in the shadows"
