Has anyone heard of Armond White(A Professional Critic)....thats really A Hardcore DC fan and MCU Hater

When I first saw your post and the name, Armond White, something struck me about it... a sense of familiarity. Then it dawned on me and, when the realization hit, everything you posted above made perfect sense.

I can tell you here, from experience, that Armond White is neither a DC lover or Marvel hater (he could probably care less about either). In actuality, he is a full-on contrarian who will bash any move that is popular and extol any move that sucks. He really got his 15-minutes of fame about 10 years ago, when he was the first (and only one of three) critic to give Toy Story 3 a scathing review:

As the second article goes on to say, this is the guy who bashes movies like Infinity War, but gave a movie like Jonah Hex a rave review.

So, if I was a Marvel fan, I wouldn't take this personally and, if I was a DC fan, I wouldn't stick this as a feather in my cap. Armond White is a well known idiot who gets off on being a contrarian and I wouldn't use the print version of his reviews to line my cat's litter box.

white is indeed internet famous for being the worst movie critic alive, a contrarian who hates moonlight & manchester by the sea & loves adam sandler & zack snyder.

i used to be part of the crowd that wrote him off as an annoying troll, someone who just seems to exist to annoy others.

not unlike your perpetual antagonist queenfan, who i blocked some time ago - it makes my life on this site much more pleasant!

but unlike queen, i've come to at least partially appreciate white over the years. i really don't think he's a dceu fan-boy at all - i think he's a bit of a right wing fantasist, & he sees a reactionary subtext in snyder's films that appeals to those instincts. as opposed to the mcu films, which i think he generally argues are proponents of bland, mushy liberalism.

i think he's really quite an interesting writer sometimes. i definitely agree with almost none of his opinions, but there are times where he makes me question & defend & occasionally re-think my own film beliefs, & i love it when people push me that way.

As others have stated, White is just a contrarian. If a movie is great, he hates it. If a movie was a god awful waste of an hour and a half, White will give it 10 stars(on a 5 star scale).
