Time for a reboot

you stated in the 'what's your ranking' thread that you haven't seen far from home.
so it seems odd that you're comfortable making such an assessment.
the films featuring holland have all been successful, commercially & critically.
honestly, i don't think they could have expected much more.

in fact, as critic matt singer pointed out in a fairly recent article, there's almost certainly never been a better time to be a spider-man fan.

into the spider-verse was phenomenal, one of the best movies of recent years imo.
holland has personified the character & spirit both of peter parker & spider-man better than anyone else.
spider-man has been brought very successfully into the avengers world.
& we've even had a video game that was a smashing success, & told a story that many have rated as highly as the films.

i don't think you could ask for much more than what we've been given.

i'd suggest looking at our current state with appreciation rather than cynicism.
