J.B Smoove joins cast

Sony Pictures has set J.B. Smoove to star in Spider-Man: Far from Home, sources said. Sony would not comment and nobody would divulge Smoove’s role but I’m told it is a lead in the ensemble.

I've always liked him in Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Sweet! I know his talents will be put to good use in this movie.

Oh, and one thing I find funny and interesting about his casting, is he was in that very amusing Audi/Spider-Man: Homecoming commercial last year (it featured him and Holland). Hmm, could that be considered canon now? :)
