Artists draw from real life. Animes have always referenced their sceneries from within Japan, but the moment they reference from a setting outside of japan, this type of shaming happens.
Now for the room, yes, Victor's living room is referenced, I can see that. Permission and credits are always nice to have, and this, I can't agree with more, but there was probably no ill intent. It was shown for only a few seconds, and if I were to give them the benefit of the doubt, then maybe they thought it was ok, and didn't realize the reactions it would get. This case happens all the time, and if they knew, then by all means, they probably wouldn't have done that. All in all, you can't expect him to have a Japanese styled room when he's not from Japan.
I've personally never cared about LOI being released. They can release it all they want, I just don't like how it's fueling stereotypes within an already corrupt sporting industry in this day and age. Yes, figure skating is very shamming in many ways.
Either way I'm not going to go through all the links, because if all you can do is half ass your reply by giving only links, then good day to you. You clearly don't have the decency to even give a proper reply. Also, I would be VERY worried if I knew much about pole dancing or stripping.
