A big problem with this show

At the climax of the action, with the last few ball drops, the contestants are in a position where they can only lose money, not gain it. And most of the time they do - a lot of money.

So the only people watching who are going to enjoy that, are the ones actively rooting against the contestants. (And I have to admit I'm in that group sometimes.)

It would be like on the Price is Right, if the Final Showcase was designed to take away money the contestants had already earned.
