You don't see much martial arts scene in a crime and thriller movie so...
shareI understand it is just your curiosity about the movie and while I respect your freedom to ask whatever you want, why reduce an Asian actress to the stereotypical role? Asian actors can be cast in other genres like mystery, drama, comedy, war epics, sci-fi and even horror.
I think a little more research will show this to be more of a noir-ish mystery.

Because she is a brown belt in karate plus it is a crime movie. Also this might as well be her last movie.

I am not being negative, there is a reason why she is back at karate and training hard at it, as her career did not take off.
shareShe's now part of the DCEU, playing the most badass, yet underrated character. Sooner or later, she'll be getting the screen time she deserves. I seriously doubt this is really the end for her. I have confidence she can do better than that.
