were the embryos genetically modified?

she said humans were a doomed species, how is her family different?

reply

feed them the correct propaganda

reply

Because they are "superior" humans with "superior" values. ;)

reply

No, as soon as you saw the brother was black you knew the whole attempt at rebuilding a better human population was doomed.... but hey you knew the diversity quota had to be filled somewhere in the movie.

reply

Lmao

reply

So you mean black embryos look white too? I thought that was a goof.

reply

No I was referring to the baby brother that was born. He was a black baby. You couldn't tell the race of a embryo from looking at it.... but you could tell when the baby brother was born that he was a a brother brother.

reply

Yea I'm talking about the APY10 embryo. It lookeds white then when it was born is seemed like it just kept getting darker and darker as the lighting changed is if they were subtly making him black.

reply

I've seen lots of babies, both white and black and given the color and hair it was the token black actor that all movies today seem to have.

reply

Right but it even looked like the film was trying to be suttle about iot. The yellow lights of mothers headers for example seemed to bleech the babies skin.
It wasn't till daughter held the baby that it appeared black and the camera cutaway fairly quickly. Almost as it the photography was trying to back away or almost hide that.

reply

I agree. It made me wonder if the casting of the black baby was pushed on the director from Netflix and the director was trying to hide the fact.... which is possible considering the director is pretty much a rookie from Australia where they probably don't have the same SJW mindset running through everything. I could see a new director just shutting up and not arguing with his boss about casting in such a minor role and then trying to cover up what he didn't like as much as he could. Will have to wait and see his next movies to get a better idea as to whether he is going to really jump on the SJW bandwagon on try to make films with the right actors in every role instead of the ones that are simply the color the studios want.

reply

lol a black baby really ruins the movie for all of you? Let me guess, you've got black friends so you're not racist.

"try to make films with the right actors in every role instead of the ones that are simply the color the studios want."

News flash, people of colour can be good actors too.

reply

The black baby just makes it clear they were trying to tick boxes on a checklist. People don't have the general physical appearances of their parents by random chance it happens because it helps to insure the parents of the offspring will accept the baby and care for it more than if the offspring were born looking different from the parents. It is also the reason that by and large children tend to look more like their fathers than their mothers when born because evolution required that, have a kid look more like the neighboring caveman and it was more like the father wouldn't accept the kid.

The AI would have understood this and would have known that it needed to insure the babies being born were closer in appearance to the mother to insure a closer bond. Racism as you put it, is a natural thing that has been genetically imprinted into every human. You might want to pretend otherwise but you would be a fool. On that fact alone the introduction of black babies to a white mother was clearly just done to make SJW happy, not to make the story more believable.

reply

" Racism as you put it, is a natural thing that has been genetically imprinted into every human."

Mother is a robot so this point falls a bit flat. Also, the baby isn't the daughter's biological child so it's not like the baby had to look like her. Doesn't seem like Mother raised her daughter to reject people based on skin colour (like you do) so the whole evolutionary bias towards something of the same skin colour is irrelevant.

reply

The robot would have had a complete history of humankind, it would have understood what you choose to reject. It would be illogical to go against the most basic of genetic tendencies in any life form you were trying to nurture. You can pretend that it makes no sense but it only shows your ignorance.

reply

Mother exterminated an entire human race women children and all based on the fact they are human alone. If this type of mother all of a sudden starts teaching daughter not to reject people on race that would be the biggest act of virtue signaling I've ever seen.

reply

Late reply, but I'll bite.

Mother exterminated humans indiscriminately. Initially, just based on their performance in her tests. She didn't bother not testing certain races, religions. Keep trying to justify your racism all you want. Y'all had to dig up evolutionary psychology to justify your anger over seeing a black baby in a movie for less than five minutes.

reply

No I just pointed out mother was worse then a racists by killing all humans period but the the film was still virtue signaling through her like they can't make up their mind if she's a villian or not.

reply

Yeah, those were GMO's.
