Wonderful...

Just finished watching this on Hallmark Channel a few minutes ago. It was a wonderful movie. Well done and hit the right emotional notes without being too overdone. Candace Cameron-Bure gave a beautifully subtle and true performance.

A very low key throwback to a simpler time. Everyone that I knew who would have enjoyed Journey Back to Christmas are all gone now so I watched and enjoyed this program for them. Hallmark has the formula and hits the right notes in celebrating the Spirit of Christmas. I have several new favorites from this season alone. Merry Christmas!

I would say it was good, not great, but a little dull at times

Candace herslef was too young to have been aorund then and she masterminded this and other (at least her starring) Hallmark movies.
Plus I were born after the time period and I enjoyed it on myown (my mother who was a little girl during that time did, too!)

In shrot..This film is for everyone.

They make so many tv Christmas movies every year, and they all kind of seem the same, this one really stood out to me.

There was no reason given for her traveling ahead. To see the people she introduced? Saving a dog? And she was too doe eyed. I wish a Cameron could take an acting class. The guy calling the police because a women seems lost...I was waiting for a bible reading. I just wanted to make a happy home for my husband? Wtf?

i liked the movie but i agree with your point about the reason why she was sent to the future. wasn't very clear.

Lol Hallmark movies are almost always about how a woman must have a man to be happy. I don't really mind that when the movie is done well but CCB is a horrid actress! I think she thought 1940s and in her mind that meant she had to just stare with doe eyes and talk in a slow dull voice and she would be good. It was so bad.

I just love this movie, watched it 3 times already. The actors were great especially Candace Cameron Bure. I love all her Halmark movies.

I agree, Bellrena. Its good to see a young, sane, non drug addicted mess act in movies today. Most of the world is so classless that being heartfelt and kind aren't even recognized anymore! People calling someone like Candace as "doe-eyed" as an insult is odd to me. So many unhappy, angry people who have to slam wholesome actors is really sad....while worship disgusting pigs like the kardashians, Lindsay Lohan or Miley Cyrus. Ugh!!!
