Why so much blue?

I was so distracted by the wardrobe choices. In every scene multiple characters were wearing shades of blue. So much do that it was unnatural and distracting. Even at the Christmas Eve concert where you'd expect people in Christmasy red and green or even black every main character was in a shade of blue.

I cant say I've ever noticed something like this in another movie.
