Minor 'issues' with the show

I'm 40 minutes into the first episode, and it seems decent, but there are a couple of things bugging me that seem a little stupid about the show:

When the detectives found 'bullet holes' in the roof of the car - the holes were VERY clearly not actual bullet holes. They were VERY cleanly drilled holes through the metal,

and when the cops found the bundle of drugs in the car - are we really expected to believe that the bad buys would have missed those drugs?

and when the head honcho bad guy told the flunky bad guys that there was one kid missing from the car - why didn't they go looking for him in the bushes around the car?

and is the show so low budget that they couldn't afford to film the scene where the bad guys run the drug runners off the road?

And probably one of the biggest things 'wrong' with one of the events in the show, was 10 minutes in when the hooker walked off with the cops badge. There is NO WAY IN THE WORLD that the cop would not do more to stop her stealing his badge. Even if he had to run 20 feet into the parking lot naked - he would NOT let someone steal his badge and give up so easily to stop them.

It's a CBC production, so it is low budget. Might have good scripts, but low production.

I agree with Satan2016. I thought that although it was low budget, I was going to experience the "breakout" show for CBC similarly how Breaking Bad was for AMC. So,when I read about the show and the historical background I was intrigued. But, after the first show I was not too impressed. I watched the second episode because I wanted so much to be bought in, but I never got there. I do give the show about a 6 just because of the concept and decent actors, but lacks something. Maybe it lacks that suspense that Breaking Bad had, or a charismatic script.
