This show is Emmy worthy

It's so brilliantly done, powerful, tense, heartbreaking, even scary/creepy at times. All the President's Men is one of my favorite movies and this series has a similar feel, except you're watching it as it unfolds.

I completely agree. Give this woman an Emmy!

I agree too. This is reality TV the way it should be!

I just thought the same thing

Totally agree. This show is extremely well produced and Leah is an outstanding host, Mike is very interesting also. I am riveted to the screen for each episode and am disappointed when they are over.

Yes, and an Emmy for it would drive the Church of $cientology nutz. :)

reply

Agreed! It's a very well-done doc/mini series.

I hope they put it on Netflix. I tried watching on the A&E site and it doesn't work for me.

This is some of the most powerful tv I have ever seen. Of course, the people and the stories are what is most compelling but the entire narrative, editing, production value, continuity and music have all been superb. Mike Rinder seems like a cool and articulate guy who can pepper his astute and knowledgeable analysis with a nice helping of wit and snark. He is sort of the analytic foil to the more ebullient and emotional Leah Remini, who seems to have launched her voyage of discovery much more recently.

I definitely agree that this is an Emmy caliber program.

If it got an Emmy nomination, the church and its Hollywood saps (the Mastersons, the Ribisis, Jenna Elfman, Kirstie Alley) would be *livid*. There would be a hilarious denunciation from an official church mouthpiece, and probably some entertainingly pompous tweets from Danny Masterson et al. Teehee!
