For only his second film, Zak Hilditch did a great job directing it

This is one of the best Stephen King adaptations.

Hilditch seems to be one of the handful of directors who actually understand what makes King's stories work onscreen, along with Mike Flanagan, Frank Darabont, and Rob Reiner.
