Not violent enough.

The first film got it right with some brutal violence and well choreographed fight scenes.

The sequels lack the claustrophobic setting and need to at least compensate with some inventive, savage, well constructed fight sequences like we see in John Wick.

But no, it’s choppy editing to disguise uninspired choreography and barely-above-PG-13 gore.

Angel at least has a decent villain and some surprising plot twists, which is more that can be said for London, but these sequels aren’t even trying, which is sad because Mike Banning had great potential as an old school rugged masculine hero who slays fools like Arnie, Stallone and Gibson used to.

What a waste.
