Does no writer in Hollywood ever bother to watch mythbuster?

I'm pretty sure they did an episode where they showed the damage from an explosion in water and yet here we have two guys diving a few feet underwater when exploding drones blow up on the water above them... Unless the myth buster guys and ever other youtube video that has ever shown how shock waves move in water was wrong, that was the end of the movie right there.

Consider the payload capacity of the drones. Not a whole lot. It might not be pleasant but I reckon that scene was survivable.

The only problem with that is we see how much of an explosion the drones create when the blow up the boat and hit the guy in the woods. Clearly we are supposed to believe these drones have a significant amount of explosive power in each one as a done results in the guy in the wood flying up about 10 feet in the air.

There's quite a bit of movie magic going on there with those explosions. To create them, you would need more than just high explosives that the drones would be carrying. The explosions appear to be some type of fuel based pyro. No way could even multiple drones deliver those kinds of explosions. Consider something like a hand grenade which would be the closest to what the drones could carry, there is a very brief flash but the main effect is shrapnel/force depending on the type of grenade. A relatively beefy drone like a DJI Phantom can carry around 200g and the drones in the film are consumer sized so lets say they can carry a similar amount of weight. So that's pretty much around double the charge of typical frag grenade with detonator. I would have thought a fiery explosion wouldn't be anywhere near as devastating compared to a high explosive based explosion. But it's a film and they wanted the looks and the force even if it doesn't really make sense.
