Awful Atonal Animation

This has to be the cheapest animation style around. There is a Thor cartoon that is like this, with the heads moving on swivels when the characters are talking. Just the worst crap.

Even worse is that the animation is in an atonal silver. Not really black and white, because there is no contrast. There is no sense of light and dark or shading. It is just all silvery shades. Just the worst crap animation ever. Horrible to watch.

I would like to see you animate better on a shoestring budget with less than six months to animate more than 100 minutes. Because that was their situation. OH, and you have to visually keep it in style to the original in case they find an episode or two of this serial, good luck!

BBC has made millions on Dr. Who, and if they had a shoe-string budget, that is their shameful neglect of their own star character, and their own history.

They are recreating episodes from 50 years ago, and they treat the project like a big furry bear turd, and that shows in the final product.

BTW, 1960s black and white TV did not look like silver atonal bleach on a concrete sidewalk, which is what the cartoon looks like. It is all shades of silver. Damn, not even a blind cartoonist could have made such awful crap.

If you hate it that much then watch it in colour.
Seriously you can buy the thing in colour!http://thedoctorwhocompanion.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/image.gif
You are complainging about something you do not have to see.

Actually quite a bit of 60's Doctor who looked just like washed out scratchy scanlined filled distored pictures recorded from a TV set on to 8mm cinefilm at between 6 and 12 frames a second....

What's left of power of the daleks looks just like that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDvRSksBDkg

Well, if you enjoy a turd sandwich that much, then eat it.

A former Disney animator made a little series on Newgrounds called "Brakenwood" over a decade ago. For free.

It's phenomenal. Leagues above this.

A flash animator from Britain named David Firth did some phenomenally creepy work also around that time using a minimalist style and technique, also demonstrating a vastly superior comprehension of artistic utilization of a limited technical capacity.

This just looks thrown together with no imagination or effort in spicing up the background visuals, creating senses of motion or tone, and filling in the long stretches of silence.
