Agreed. Not just for RUSH fans but also as an understanding of mortality.

I was somewhat disappointed in it. It wasn't a bad film, but nowhere near as invigorating or joyous as 2010's "Beyond the Lighted Stage."

For starters, there's a huge chunk of time spent on super fans when the focus really needed to be on Rush. I was completely bored by much of this, although it's nothing personal against these fans. I just never had any sense of why they loved Rush's music so much and we never see the band interact with them. One man found inspiration in a song during recovery of a horrific accident, but beyond explaining that the lyrics meant a lot to him, we are not given a lot of reason to feel this connection with him (do they even play the song he cites?).

The story of Rush concluding their final set, apparently, of road shows is indeed a worthy subject to document, and there are some outstanding insights provided by the band members themselves. While not a concert genre film, a glaringly obvious deficiency is the lack of actual music in the film. About halfway through, I found myself craving for it, which I would have forgave had there been some kind of payoff. It doesn't happen.

Two questions...I have a young kid who likes Rush...what is the profanity like in this film? On par with Lighted Stage?

Also, is there any indication that RUSH is over in this film or just touring? I get the feeling it is done.

The F bomb gets dropped a few times. Not too excessive, all things considered.

They don't give any concrete answers aside from they're done with "major" touring.

The vibe is definitely that this is the last tour. They spend quite a bit of time explaining the physical toll that Peart, especially, is dealing with.

By all indications, this was indeed the end of Rush as a touring entity. The band has not officially announced an end to the band, however, and they seem to be interested or at least open to making more music together down the road. I think the real factor for Rush's future will be Peart. Alex and Geddy will not call themselves "Rush" in future collaborations without Peart on board.

I love and respect the guys from RUSH and if they do decide to hang it up, I'm good with it. Clockwork is a great album to go out on (The Garden is a great closer), R40 was an inventive way to do a concert and Time Stand Still is a good way to close the book.
