BATMAN ’66 MEETS WONDER WOMAN ’77 #1

What mysteries are hidden in the book Ra’s al Ghul hired Catwoman to steal? And why does this caper lead Batman down memory lane—to his childhood fight against actual Nazis? Witness the Caped Crusader’s first encounter with one of the greatest heroes the world has ever known: Wonder Woman!

Batman & Robin, Wonder Woman, Ra's al Ghul (and Talia) and Nazis? I'm in--though I think I'll wait for the collected edition. I wouldn't mind seeing this adapted as an animated movie.

This interview with the crossover's writers confirms the inclusion of Ra's al Ghul's daughter Talia. It also reveals that the story covers three different time periods:

Andreyko: Their first meeting takes place in 1944 during the first season of Wonder Woman. The second meeting takes place in 1966 during the height of the Batman show. And the third meeting takes place in 1977, which is when seasons 2 and 3 of Wonder Woman took place.

I wonder if that third meeting will mean we'll see Dick as Nightwing?

The only question would of doing an animated movie would be who do you cast as Ra's? Personally, I'd go for either Roger Moore ( he had been on the TV show the Saint which ended in 1969)and Christopher Plummer (Captain Von Trap from the Sound of Music.) After all, they went with Shatner as Two-Face so they stuck with the big name actor from the60's motif to keep it feeling like the show. Only other options I could think of would be Leonard Nimoy, Christopher Lee, and Ricardo Mantalban but all three of them are dead. ( Seriously, go back and watch the Star Trek original series episode "Space Seed" and you could see a perfect 60s era Ra's).

I like your suggestion of Dick Grayson as Nightwing in 1977. For Ra's al Ghul I suggest trying to bring back David Warner who voiced him in Batman: The Animated Series along with Helen Slater as Talia.
