They go higher than Everest with hardly any protection from the cold and with no altitude acclimatisation. Then again it was only over an hour in real time so not sure if that would make a difference.

But when she climbs the balloon and stands on top of the world it felt like she had climbed the tallest mountain 100 years before Hillary. Great scene. But not true. Surely...
