They changed the genie after the second wish (spoilers)

So in the animated movie when Genie granted Aladdin his second wish he made it very obvious that he wanted to be set free for the final wish and was upset with the Aladdin when he didn’t want to follow through.
In the film we didn’t really see that and Genie was more concerned about Aladdin being truthful to Jasmine about who he was. In my opinion this was a refreshing change and the actual improvement from the animated film because it made the genie a more likable character, never mind the fact that he wasn’t going to be granted his final wish at the time. What do you guys think?

Agreed ... it was an interesting reversal with Aladdin wrongly accusing the genie of “only caring about the third wish” while the genie genuinely cared about Aladdin’s failing moral compass

I got the impression this genie’s seen a lot more “masters” like Jafar, and didn’t want to see Aladdin become “that guy” (I forget the exact term in the movie)
