THE SLAP!

Did Manuel hate Muncie because he got him sent down for 9 years. Or was it because Muncie gave him a proper wallop when he got a bit cocky in an early interview.
It seems to me that Manuel had the attitude that getting sent to prison was an occupational hazard of his criminal activities. But the slap? His pride was dented and I believe this is why he wanted to get at Muncie.
