random impressions of a Lackluster offering

I have enjoyed Brennan Elliot and Bonnie Sommerville in other Hallmark movies, and the writer penned one of my favorites: All of my Heart. So I was quite disappointed in this.
the principles played their ages, so the Bonnie's botox was not needed. It's not the worst job I've ever seen, but I could not take my eyes from her forehead.

What is with the orange indoor lighting in the Hallmark movies this year? I guess it's the latest fad.

Madison Brydges needed to be reined in by the director. Her mugging and over the top delivery was distracting. It's not her fault. She is a kid, and probably very talented. BTW, this director directed one of my other favorites: Midnight Masquerade. Double disappointment.

The characters were dull and the story was dull and boring. Brennan's character was very annoying with his over-sharing of his financial woes to an almost complete stranger. Boody Hoo Hoo. Also trying to school an important executive who had obligations and responsibilities to her employer to get off the phone. She did not owe him her 100% attention and focus, and was almost, again, a mere acquaintance at this point. He had a lot of nerve. She was very nice about it.

Well that's about it. Hallmark: Stop with the orange, gold, yellow, or what ever shade it is filters. I'm begging you. If you need to do this to convey warmth and a homey atmosphere, try to do it with the writing, the set decoration (which was also cheesy by the way) and the direction.

She obviously thought he was hot and was probably not receiving any physical stimulation at home because of her work. Her unbridled lust and ticking maternal clock obviously got the better of her.

As for the filters at least ot was not the ridiculous coffee filter product placement we've seen in some Hallmark movies.
