There's a Dynasty reboot?!
I only found this because you posted to the Dynasty board. I only ever watched maybe 15 minutes of the original show (and Dallas), just to sample it since it got so much press. Not to my taste, but obviously *many* others watched it.
I agree with all you have to say. Also it says that Sam "Sammy" Joe is being played by a man. Well unless the listing is wrong on the IMDb cast list. Grant Show is too young looking I think. I think they will start it just like the old one, with Cristal and Blake getting married. The actress playing her is 32 and Grant Show is 55 so I guess the age difference is enough.
Grant Show just looks so much younger than John Forsyth.
Michael Beach seems to always play police officers.

they tried to reboot the original 90210--but too much of the original cast avoided coming back. Going with new family...etc was a disaster.

Ok, I just watched the last episode. I still cannot get over the really bad acting of everybody. Instead of the actors should I just blame poor directing overall? The whole thing looks like it is filmed in 3 days. It really aggravates me that they wreck something that could have been a good thing. The concept of this soap isn't even that bad, but the execution is extremely unambitious. The Dallas reboot had some really questionable story choices - which I blame Cynthia Cidre and TNT for. But at least the acting was sincere and overall acceptable. Here... it's like they don't even try. Just like the dreadful Charlies Angels remake, this feels like somebody was just looking for a huge tax write off.share
