Overall ok

I know everyone was excited about this remake and I was too. I finally saw it and it just didn't do it for me. It was overall ok, but I prefer the original. Was disappointed in the "Be Prepared" song. Like seriously, all he did was talk(not sing) and all the hyenas did were stand there and listen to him talk the song. No ad libs or anything. Horrible.

The scene where Scar kills Mufasa and Simba tries to wake him, again, I felt nothing. I cried (and still do) when I look at the cartoon. I didn't when I saw this. It was just eh. No emotion whatsoever. Simba didn't even get a chance to pick up his dad's paw and lay under him before Scar appeared. That was the best part.

I do like how they did the whole in the jungle song with Timon and Pumbaa instead of the snipet from the cartoon. I was most waiting for the Simba/Rafiki/Mufasa scene where he appears in the clouds and his voice rumbles when he's disappearing. That scene was a total let down.
