Why the obsession with this one girl?

How many kids are killed daily? How many all over the world? How many on the North American continent and in Europe? Now how many in the US and in Colorado?

Just what in the world is the obsession with one girl?

Was it because she was blonde? Blue eyed? "Cute" (I use the term guardedly) in a sick and twisted way as per kiddy beauty pageants?

What on Earth is her allure?

I honestly don't get it.

Why is she so important over all the other murder victims on this planet?

reply

She was a high profile kid and there were plenty of pictures for the media to use on their endless articles about her.

People remember her because the media went crazy about her.

I think a big part of it is that we don't know what happened in the end.

Casey Anthony, teen mother that allegedly killed her daughter and changed her reasons for it repeatedly blaming her parents and whatnot, got out of jail 5 years ago this summer.
Very few newspapers even mentioned it because the details were just too gruesome and the remains were found on a trash bag.

Casey herself did the media circus for a bit before the baby was found but it wasn't easy to get interviews after the trial

For real, Casey Anthony is out of jail ?

reply

Casey wasn't a teen mother

reply

because the murder scene was so weird and we are trying to figure out twth happened

Seasonal factors around the timing causing the amount of news coverage it got + its one of those crimes where everyone knows who did it but nothing is being done and even worse nothing can be done.

That's easy she was a wealthy caucasian blonde haired blue eyed girls that did beauty pageants. Her death still remains a mystery to this day it's been 20 years. The Boulder Colorado Police totally botched the whole case and her parents and older brother were suspects still are in the world's eyes. If she would have been poor or any other race no one would care and it would have been in a cold case file. I know that sounds brutal but it's the truth.Another reason the case is so highly relevant is because Pasty Ramsey was a beauty pageant queen. She was reliving her dream through her daughter.

Affluent, white beauty pageant contestant, nothing else to discuss.

Because of the mystery, the circumstances, the fame. Most unsolved cases are at least understood. The child is snatched off the street or from a mall by a predator. This one is very different.

What we got here is... failure to communicate!

Way to sound like a douche.

Some cases get closer examination than others ... yes there a lot of other cases, not all of them can be given the same exposure! ... was the child cute? ... yes! ... was she caucasian? .. yes! .. were her Parents wealthy? .. yes! .. does their story stand up? .. NO! .. this makes this case unique, it warrants a closer look! ...
