Those kids had problems...

Did anyone else find the claims that Burke had scatological problems and smeared her bedroom wall and Christmas present (a box of candy) with feces rather bizarre and alarming? 'Ex-housekeeper Linda Hoffman-Pugh also remembered a time when she uncovered 'faecal material the size of a grapefruit on the sheets' in the bed of JonBenet.' What the hell was going on with those kids?

Also 6 year old JonBenet had a bedwetting problem which could also be indicative that there were problems in the family... The pageantry stuff was horrific, like trying to mould a child into some sort of doll/ performing monkey.

Any child therapist/psychologist, etc. would tell you that kids that play with fecal matter are doing so as a way of acting out because of physical or sexual abuse. Or IMHO an act of defiance at becoming the second most important kid. Either way it shows clear problems. Problems I think the parents brushed off or maybe were too embaressed to tell others.

Same goes for the bed wetting but obviously that's WAY more common. It is mainly an indication or some form of abuse in children past the age of "normal" bed wetting.

You are absolutely right, it is alarming. But these are people prominent in the community and in the business world and so forth and IMHO they don't like facing the reality that things aren't "perfect" within their family. Appearance is everything. Can you imagine how they'd feel if the neighbors knew Burke played with poopie?
