4-5/10: Low budget, unoriginal and slightly funnier than mainstream

4-5/10

In short:
LOW budget movie with alot of known or semi known actors. A standard feelgood family comedy that still delivers more funny moments than most of the big budget comedies of Hollywood (sadly). Want to pass an evening with your family of mixed age - then this could be for you.
*Disclaimer: Not fully PC.

In longer:
Really not need for one. Low budget comedy that at times hits allright. A couple of really bad editing cuts. Some bad humor, some good humor and a little inbetween (yes, that is paraphrasing guardians).
For a low budget movie editing is below average (at times), costumes are around indie quality, plotline is unoriginal and unimaginative and the humor is the only thing keeping it up. Well, that and a cheesy positive message.
Cast and acting is the strong point here, and after one scene you might think I'm bat s**t crazy saying that but the casual laid back attitude works.

Pro's
• Cast
• Dialogue
• Cheesy positive message
• Doesn't feel too unoriginal (which it is)

Con's
• Budget
• Unoriginal plotline
• Feels like a funnier version of an Adam Sandler movie
• Time - not given enough time for proper buildups and some buildups are completely missing (as the icecream truck - with a proper buildup that could have added alot comedy).

End Notes:
Exspect Charlie Sheen to be in a larger movie soon.

Ignorance is only a bliss if you haven't reached awareness.
My imdb posts are getting altered.
