Garbage pro-NATO propaganda

Is Netflix turning into a platform for the distribution of political propaganda? Admittedly, the stance of the doc is soft-peddled, most of it focusing on the rescue efforts of the White Helmets, though there were enough scattered references to supposed Russian and Syrian "aggression" to get the jist of the orientation of this project, such as when one of the White Helmets is watching CNN in English (a language they supposedly don't even speeak). It is an insult to the intelligence of its viewers who actually have followed the Syrian conflict since its inception in 2011. The Obama Administration, the Pentagon, CIA and rightwing think tanks--aided by a compliant hawkish corporate media-- are playing a very dangerous game in Syria that is slipping further and further into insanity. The ruling elite in the US are actually contemplating the unthinkable: that a nuclear war with Russia can somehow be won. The subtle "programming" of this doc is meant to get viewers to side with the White Helmets and look with disdain on Russia and Assad. I didn't buy a word of it.

Thank you! It is propaganda of the worst kind. This group was founded by a British military contractor with ties to organizations like Blackwater. White Helmets only operate in areas held by terrorists. Members themselves are al-Qaeda terrorists who are playing humanitarians for the cameras. They have been spotted celebrating with Nusra, cleaning up after terrorist executions, killing Syrian troops and loyalists to the Syrian government. They even post stuff like that on their social media pages. The leader of the group Raed Saleh was deported from Dulles Airport because of his ties to extremists after being invited into the US to receive a "humanitarian award". This group gets funding from the US and UK governments. Dude, in my 1/10 review of the film on this site I listed a whole bunch of stuff about them you'll never find on the mainstream media. It's really eye opening Predictably brainwashed sheeple are voting it down without reading it first. Also, check out these links. This article in 2 parts includes proof that the White Helmets are nothing but terrorists and frauds. It's written by a British independent investigative journalist who went to Aleppo for quite a while. The White Helmets are a fraudulent propaganda group perpetuating an imperialistic regime change narrative. Thanks for helping keep the truth alive.

You can knock on Ed Wood but it won't do you no good 'cause all of my heroes are dead in Hollywood

Sort of, indeed. The White Helmets is in the exact same vein as The Square and Winter on Fire.

The subtle "programming" of this doc is meant to get viewers to side with the White Helmets and look with disdain on Russia and Assad.
Undoubtedly, and as I was watching it, I even thought for a moment that ISIS agents might've had a hand in the production, but I was also thinking about how I wouldn't ever want to see Americans living like the Syrians are right now. For that reason I continue to lean toward being "big on defense".

I don't believe we are on the same wavelength.

reply

What wavelength are you on? Do you support Assad continuing as dictator of Syria? Or Syria being a vassal state of Russia? Please explain.

reply

I have nothing to explain to you. You have your mind made up for you already by what you already believe on the subject. Read my OP above if you want to see my take on things

Yeah, no reason to do that, huh? I guess the propaganda view looks a lot different from the Russian Federation than it does from the West, eh?

Right on!
