What did he think was going to happen? Did he think John wouldn't know who poisoned the dogs. He knew John was dangerous and bad news. That was really stupid on his part and an awful thing to do himself.
I would lose my crap too if someone killed my dogs. Of course he didn't deserve to be killed, but that was an extremely immoral and illegal thing to do.
This isn't to say John isn't a crazy physio path.
what if some one manipulated mcafee to rid him from belize. They use the scenario of the neighbor hating/reporting the dogs, then one of mcafees lackeys poisons the dogs, mcafees overwhelming paranoid genius points him into the obvious direction that the neighbor did it, so mcafee sent out the hit on the neighbor greg, resulting in the grand conspirators plan to put mcafee in the spot light for murder causing him to flee the country, and the transference of his assets to another party bringing in the rule of a new drug lord in belize.
