FAKE - EXPOSED!!!!

This show is fake. The black guy Adam Pepper (#20 I think?) who said he's a Customs Officer is actually an actor, here is his IMDB

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1166921/

lets help expose this fake BS.

Lots of actors also have real jobs to make the ends meet. Having an actor as a participant doesn't make the show fake. The first season of SAS: Who Dares Wins had a part-time actor, a trainee stuntman and a comedian. Knowing he is also an actor makes me question his real motives for being there i.e. is he there to gain exposure and maybe get more acting jobs, but it doesn't make the show fake. He is far too nervous to be faking. I have never seen an actor good enough to convincingly fake that level of nervousness.

Fail...and I know for fact, Coronado Ca. Leave it at that

I am starting to think that dsatchmo wanted to get on this show, but was denied. He clearly has some personal vendetta against it.

The fact that he is an actor alone, and they certainly don't mention it, leads to the presumption that the show is not factual. And his "ability" to convey nervousness lends credence to his (very bad) acting.

If he IS an actor... and he is on an "reality" show... that tends to support the theory that the "reality" isn't "real".

Supposed to be about regular people trying to survive the challenges, not wanna be actors.

Interestingly, if you do a quick Google search, you can find Adam's LinkedIn profile and it mentions nothing about being a border patrol agent as he claims in the show. His IMDB profile shows that he had a part as a border patrol agent in a film, though.

I hate that guy, he spends the entire show whining and making faces. No one in real life does that, look at all the others, no one makes faces like that black guy #20, and they milk the drama.

Confirms he's fake and an actor

Alot of these reality shows have D list actors trying to exposure. Doesn't make the show fake. I don't any of those instructors allowing or being paid to fake this *beep* the *beep* they live n die for

One of my favorite scenes so far in this show is actually a deleted scene, you can find it at the History Channel website under video exclusives tab. I believe it is called "Six Feet".

In it Instructor Care tears into #3 on day 2 for being more than 6 feet from her swim buddies. You can see how he checks for the camera's location and the irritation he tries to hide when he sees how close it is and how hard it is for him to control his language in front of it. Then he tells her that if she gets more than 6 feet away from her swim buddies again he will personally take her for the rest of the night-away from the cameras-and he promises he will make her quit. That is not fake. Not at all. He clearly didn't want that camera there. He wanted to be off camera with her when he ripped into her, so he obviously held back somewhat, but it was definitely not fake.

Agreed! This is why I hate "reality" shows. ep 3.... Selection guy 11... the oldest guy.. he gets into the interrogation room and they remove his hood... same hair style he has in all pics of him throughout.

#20 you mentioned, looks/sounds like a seasoned actor (although very bad). Even appears to have eyeliner on in some scenes.

Plus the "interrogation" scenes are supposed to seem so intimidating and all they do is ask questions about their past. Plus, what are they gonna do torture the person? It's TV!

People who buy into this and all the other shows as "reality" are sadly naive.

I just saw a Youtube video made by a potential participant in another UK Channel 4 reality show remake (Hunted in case you haven't seen anything about it yet) who said that most of the people invited to participate in Season 1 of it were people who had previously applied to either Survivor or Amazing Race.

That made me wonder if the producers did something similar to get the participants for the first season of this show as well. It would certainly explain the odd mix of characters and why #2 brought his fiancee along.

Update: I just saw an interview with #2 and surprisingly it was his fiancee who signed up first...apparently the producers asked him to come along to make it more interesting.
