why is the rating so low? IMDB says 6.6 which seems to say to me that a lot of people did not like this and felt the need to weight in to show their disapproval. The top 1000 IMDB users give it a 5.

So, what was wrong with this movie?

All I see here are short little little emotional comments implying it is great, but nothing says much about the movie, the plot, the good, the bad, the ugly, etc.

Is this another Casey Afflect screw-up, dark and full of violence?

Actually, I just watched this on Amazon Prime and it was good. It has very good directing and a sensitivy and acting that I never thought I would see from Casey Affleck. I would not say it is remarkable or outstanding ... slightly better than average, and was able to dodge a lot of cliches and not rely on violence. I would rate it a 7, so pretty close to 6.6 average, which is not that bad.
