I must say, I never recognized her for anything more than J. Timberlake's wife and a terrific ass. But damn - she is really really good. Like I think she is Elizabeth Moss-level good. I can't believe I'm saying that.

But I agree that she's exceptional in this..I'm guessing this will lead to more dynamic roles for her.

Biel really had completely fallen off of my radar. I was not paying attention to her at all anymore. If you had asked me what the last thing was I saw her in, I'd have probably said Blade: Trinity, though looking at her filmography I can see that I actually have seen a few movies with her since then. I don't think I noticed her though, or even knew it was her.
It's going to be interesting to see what kinds of opportunities this show opens up for her because you can't say it's not an excellent performance.

I love the show but tonights episode was too forced and rushed to get to conclusions. They sped up the pace, but it didnt feel as authentic as the first 3 episodes to me.
Mainly I disliked the hypnosis scenes. They lost me there. It wasnt believable to me.
Wish they hadnt put the cop in that last hypnosis scene. Too pat and predictable.
She is also executive producer on this show and has gotten very picky about the projects she wants to work on. There was an interview maybe 5 years ago where she says she tries not to get typecast as the hot girl in a romantic comedy or summer flick like the one she did with Freddie Prinze, Jr.
shareI don't know, I wasn't moved by her performance. I mean, I suppose it was okay, but it didn't haunt me like, say, Rooney Mara's performance in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
Jessica Biel has a ways to go, IMO. If anything, I think her performance in this was rather one-note.
