Spiritual Leaning

I hate to admit that my memory isnt what it used to be
but I noticed a heavier lean toward religious beliefs in this movie that I don't remember from previous installments in the series. Am I just not remembering or is the religious emphasis really stronger in this movie? Has Oliver always been this spiritual?

reply

Oliver has always been a believer and his church/choir membership was introduced a few movies back (if not earlier). The show has always been quite "Christian" in it's philosophy, and Oliver has previously asserted that a higher power has a hand in the letters they receive. The Christmas movie http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4065336/combined was possibly the first "definitely" Christian one as it featured an angel (or possibly God).

No tears please, it's a waste of good suffering.

I've always felt the message in the movies, and maybe I missed one, it just seemed a little more obvious to me in this installment. As long as the installments keep coming, I'll keep watching. One of Hallmark's best shows! Thanks for responding
