Not so much about the movie, I see... So let's say something about it.
With "Smoleńsk" in Poland there is a problem - that movie was made by people, who wanted to show the alternative version of Lech Kaczynski's (and other Polish VIPs') death. Four movie's writers were not typical scenarist - they were publicists, historians and writers, who mainly wanted to show those abnormalities connected with catastrophe and after that. Not like "JFK" for example.
And here is the problem - they made a movie showing, what was wrong with catastrophe and investigation - but only that. They didn't made a good scenario with a plot, interesting threads etc. - and that makes this movie so weak. Very, very weak, even if it's director Antoni Krauze was a man responsible for some not bad Polish movies, for example "Czarny Czwartek. Janek Wiśniewski padł" from 2006, which shows a socialist police killing workers in December, 1970. They didn't, because in some part they didn't have to do that. Other thing is Beata Fido as journalist Nina, who is a very weak actress showing so few in her part - you can see it, when in the scene there is more professional Polish actor, Marek Bukowski, playing experienced pilot.
Another thing are special effects etc. - they're also not so good, but the problem was, that movie makers had a problem with money, partly because they were making a movie showing government not the best light - so they had no help from state institutions. Yes, it's still a problem in out country - paradoxically, the best Polish movies comes from the not the best times...
And in the end, there is also a situation, which you can see it here - people in Poland are so at odds based of politics, which includes the catastrophe - and that's so many are writing here so strange things. It's sad, because it shows our country not in the best way - but mostly it has no connection with a movie...
