Both cuts are a triumph. Malick was born to create Voyage of Time.

I had the extreme pleasure of being able to see both cuts of Voyage of Time at TIFF yesterday and this afternoon. Full disclosure, I seriously love the works of Terrence Malick. They have had a major impact on my life. When I see one of his films, especially for the first time, I approach it more like a lecture by a great professor instead of something that I'll like or not like. So it comes as no surprise that Malick left me once again enraptured yesterday morning and this afternoon. Still though, it/they is/are a startling, deeply felt Thank You to the Universe and all of creation. Malick and his team poured their hearts out in a way I have never experienced before in film. Soulful describes Voyage of Time well. I am hesitant to separate the two cuts; they do indeed stand independent of each other but they absolutely belong together. I can only express my genuine appreciation to Malick and all involved, you have created something very special.

After seeing the IMAX version today, I can't wait to see what Malick has in store for the "Life's Journey" edit. The work put into both the universe sequences and the growth of life on Earth had me astounded from start to end.
