A Necessary Cinematic Experience for All
In 40 minutes, Terrence Malick managed to portray the complex beauty, savagery and wonderment that is the mystery of life in "Voyage of Time" in ways his contemporaries and "students' will continue to struggle over. Expanding on the ideas of the creation sequence of "The Tree of Life", "Voyage of Time" is equal parts visual poetry, a prayer of love from creation to creator (given Malick's philosophical and religious views) and a stunning documentary that looks at life the only way Malick can and one of the finest uses of IMAX I've seen in my lifetime, from the old school use of visual effects to further expand on the birth of the cosmos to the sweeping shots of the various wonders Earth still has to offer people.
If you live near an IMAX theater that's showing "Voyage of Time", please go see and support it as soon as you can. If you love Terrence Malick's cinematic ideas, please go see and support it as soon as you can. If you love movies in general, please go see and support it as soon as you can.
