Agree completely.
How does a show with such amazing scenery, cinematography and setting and based on a tragic and compelling story go so wrong?
Here's a clue: They hung the thing on the scowling, pinch faced, irritating empty suit perpetually aggrieved snip of a lead actress who veered between self-righteous smirking and pinched face like her shoes were too tight in every "emotive" scene.
Toe curlingly awful.
If they dump the self-righteous, unprofessional cow pretendy copper and feature the other excellent actors and get a good story that doesn't preach to us and just highlights another compelling story but without the whining unprofessional bumpkin at the center of it, then this show has a chance.
But that's four hours of life I'll never get back. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
