The Pringle's can wifi booster is real and works startlingly well. The producers even used the right connector and put it in the right position. That seems too good for a commedy I wonder if the prop was sued elsewhere.

Incidently in computing terms a static is a static ip address so this site it was cloning has a double meaning.
Windows XP is insecure but is still used in places that really should be more secure.

I did not recognize the commands that were on screen.
alias being a Unix command and the C:\ being a Windows prompt.
Netgear routers do have a similar command which this might have been trying to emulate.
