Had potential but......

The subject matter was very serious, but the movie itself had bad writing and the feel of a lifetime movie.
If they had gone in a different direction, and stayed with the essence of the first few minutes of the first scene in the movie, it would have had quite an impact.
The first scene was the prostitute mother who drugged her kids so they would sleep during her "work". The son was sleeping but the daughter never took the pill.
Then soonafter, the movie just took a nosedive with an imaginary friend of the daughters, and mystical scenes,, and lots of shootings without the cops ever coming..
Again, it had potential, but went off the track very quickly.
