This show falls down on so many levels.

Firstly, weed dealers! They tend not to have runners, and they tend not to be as ruthless as the heroin dealers.

Secondly, that little white boy who thought he was hard as nails, would have been robbed years ago, he was a melt!

I've personally seen crack and heroin dealers operating like this. Someone higher up gets a call, then calls his rubber, who then delivers the drugs.

Lastly, and probably most importantly.
The police said they were too busy to respond to a group of lads selling weed, but after his friend was abducted, and then slashed with a Stanley knife, did that not then become more of an emergency for the police? Or was he just too stupid to call them.

Finally, (promise) why did he get in the car with a 20 year old weed dealer? Was he supposed to be driven off to his death? Because that's just absolutely ridiculous. As if a little kid was going to kill a CCTV operator, WHOSE CAUGHT IT ALL ON FILM! Why was he in the car in the first place?
I could *maybe* get onboard with it if it was heroin and crack, as these people don't play, but a bit of weed? Do me a favour, please.

Utter crap. Made no sense whatsoever. Little white boy in Manchester acting like a gangster? I'd have money on him being robbed on a weekly basis.

The kids weren't menacing enough (the writers perhaps should have referred to harder drugs and used tougher looking actors to make Lee's ordeal truly chilling). These kids were just street scum, not Tony Soprano's family. Kids like this would have knocked him about a bit, and driven off with the money.

I lost sympathy for the main character when he was revealed to be spying on his family. That was creepy. In fact, I would be more ill-at-ease with him than with the druggies.

Although I liked this until the end, they should have made the drug dealers adults and the drugs should have been more hardcore, like cocaine or heroin, unthreatening chavvy little street kids dealing in weed acting like mafia members just wasn't believable, they may have beaten Lee up a bit then legged it with the weed, they certainly wouldn't risk a CCTV operator who has links to the police and all their activities on camera coming down when he could have easily called the police and set them up....which in hindsight was probably what he should have done
