Not bad, but I have some questions. (Spoiler Alert)

John Goodman was visiting the prostitute who was the head of the cell, and then spreading info to the rest of the cell? So he was actually a good guy, right?

And even though the Legislators destroyed the Chicago cell, the map at the end showed the rebellion spreading eastward. So there's hope, right?

In viewing the home movie near the end, is John Goodman an uncle or a friend of the family or something? And is the History Teacher/Prostitute his wife?

Thanks in advance.

He literally was introduced to her while they were filming the โ€œwelcomeโ€ movie for Gabriel. Not his wife at all.

Itโ€™s clearly evident he blew up โ€œthe ant hillโ€ (as it was called earlier in the movie) as he was covered with that invisible bomb material all over his body. That lead to other uprisings and bombs being set off all over the rest of the world.

This is stupid however as the aliens would easily win against the humans, so all in all this movie was a turd.

Mmmm. It certainly was confusing. Okay then, thanks.

IT was all a set up. As he told the kid, "maybe the idea was for the bomb plot to fail".

During the final debrief with the Legislators, he plays back some of the tapes from the ringleader. Notice how his voice is never heard (though he visited her often), but the current commissioner is. The Goodman character than becomes the commissioner and is sent into the 'nest'.

So that was the plan the whole time.
