I kind of have to agree. Not the brightest at all.

Maybe in this day and age it would be stupid but back then people hitch hiked all the time. The internet wasn't around to connect everyone so people didn't know every *beep* up thing that was going on all around all the time. After she was taken she did what she had to do to survive. I don't see how she was stupid at all. Now eleven the news uses social media to catch more bad people like the chicken who posted a pic of her dog with its mouth duc taped shut on Facebook. It's not like she knew to be suspicious of a couple with a baby in a blue car. I just read about parents who killed a tortured and killed a kid over a bday cake. People are *beep* up and always have been. We just have so many more ways of knowing it now than we did back then.

She didn't ask to be kidnapped and tortured. Maybe when it happens to you, I can laugh at it.
