Nick Pisa - Awful Journalist

Only watched the first half of this so far but I'm horrified by Nick Pisa and his contribution to the document. A young girl was murdered and he's so exited about getting his name in the headlines and compares the excitement to sex? Crass and insensitive. Don't think I can watch the second half if he appears again.

I swear the journalists end up being the real villains in documentaries like this. Somehow they end up being the most despicable but are so in denial about what pieces of scum they are that it's just baffling. If I had to hear about how he was a "journalist" and had "integrity" one more time I was gonna lose it. As he said himself you are not a real news journalist. You make up nonsensical bullcrap that gullible people actually believe and get paid for it. In no way are you someone reporting on the facts by any means. It really makes me sick.

He's an insensitive and narcissistic jerk no doubt. At the end of the day though, he was only reporting theories speculated by the police. So ultimately, the police are the ones that should be blamed.

reply

Yeah, he's slime all right.

I agree, you could see the joy he got out of hurting people through his journalism, admitting to publishing things he hasn't even double checked to see if the info is correct, and his inappropriate laughing during quite a bit of the interview. Disgusting fellow....

Well after watching the rest and doing more research and saw he worked for the Daily Mail which doesn't surprise me. Awful human being and I'm glad others are pointing this out across the web. Somebody summed his attitude up perfectly that he never saw Meredith as a fellow human being.

For real--he had the nerve to say that Rudy didn't matter when it was Rudy who confessed to being the real killer of Meredith Kercher. I couldn't stand this so-called "journalist"---he acted like he didn't care about any real facts or the actual case---it was as if it was all fun and games to him. It was so sickening. I wish the directors had interviewed a real journalist, and not him, honestly.

reply

Yep. Vile.

It amazes me how little integrity the journalists nowadays have. Calling yourself a journalist for poor fact sharing, sensationalism and gutter theories is beyond me. Being proud of your part in covering the story is sad, but his appearance in this documentary and statements made by him, show him for what he really is. People's mind was made up after the numerous theories and "facts" presented by the media about their characters. I cannot say that I truly believe that Amanda and boyfriend had no part in the death of Meredith. My gut feeling says they had a part in her death. Not based on facts, but the facts in this whole story are crooked. No, just a gut feeling. I'm sure that we will here more about this.........

he's a total scumbag - the moment he said "we are journalists and we are reporting what we are being told. It's not as if I can say right, hold on a minute I just wanna double check that myself in some other way (...) and then let my rival get in there first before me and hey I've lost my scoop. It doesn't work like that, not in the news game" - I just wanted to slap him across the face.

Yes DOUCHBAG! That's how a real journalist should work, but you're just a hack and you shouldn't call yourself a journalist.

As a fellow Brit, I cringed when he said how pleased the prosecution were to talk to a British journalist.

"Journalist."

I think some people don't realize that the Daily Mail is basically the UK's version of the National Enquirer. His "journalistic integrity" means squat.
