imdB reviews of this movie

Be warned:

There is a group of rabid Knox trial junkies who apparently have much spare time. They post their belief in her guilt in YouTube comment boxes. Any article posted online regarding the case you will find comments by these same people banging on about her guilt.

Some use the same name in each opinion forum. Some change names but sing the same song.

Now due to the release of this documentary on Netflix, imdB has become the new forum for these same people to rant on about Knox's guilt.

Whether or not they've seen the movie, several of the obsessive "guilters" as they are known who have been around for years have posted "reviews" of this movie which are actually rants about Knox's guilt.

This has been an imdB public service announcement

Addendum that has nothing to do with this movie:

....furthermore...

What galls me is after all these years, trials, books, tabloid smears, etc. people are still willing to convict this young woman based on her facial expressions.

"She looks evil"..

"One look in her eyes and you can tell she did it".

A published writer I met who I previously considered intelligent told me point blank she considered Knox and Sollecito guilty based the photo heavily circulated by British tabloids of Amanda and Raffa kissing outside the cottage in Perugia after finding Meredith's body. Two young, terrified people had just found a corpse in a pool of blood. How are they supposed to look or act?

In one moment in the hours that followed, Rafa kissed and hugged Amanda to reassure her that he was not going to abandon her in this horrible moment. The photo of that kiss was circulated around the world to show what cold-blooded sex addicts those two were. Really? That one photo caused thousands to deduce that these two are remorseless murderers.

That is so absurd and terrifying it defies belief. What about evidence?

Media is so powerful. It's troubling to realize so many people are so naive and easily swayed as to determine guilt or innocence of a violent, heinous crime simply by looking at a photo or simply how someone's eyes appear.

reply

You're going on and on about her "looks" and kissing... what about all the evidence?

reply

There was no evidence at all.

Disclaimer: This forum is about a movie. If you want to read further, this post delves into the case, not the movie

Much of the so-called evidence was contaminated by the Keystone Kops of Perugia. DNA evidence on a knife taken from Sollecito's was - are you ready? - bread. Another knife the prosecution claimed was a murder weapon could not have been so as the blade was the wrong size for the wounds.

Etcetera.

The prosecutor was desperate to build a case against Knox & Sollecito to prove his theory of a drug-fueled Satanic orgy that ended in a bloody murder.

Cops eager to please the prosecutor and in all honesty probably were trying to just do their job and find the murderer, bungled the collection of much of the evidence. A bra clasp from the victim that was soaked in her blood sat on on the floor of the crime scene for nearly six weeks before it was collected and tested for DNA. The cops did not wear rubber gloves when they picked it up off the floor. Scant traces of DNA evidence remained to test on the bra clasp the handling of which rendered test results inconclusive at best.

Prosecution tried to insist that Sollecito's DNA was on the bra clasp, but after two separate labs reviewed the evidence, it was determined the scant remains of DNA traces dubiously collected was likely that of the victim Meredith Kerber.

The truly incriminating DNA evidence at the crime scene belonged to Rudy Guede -- and there was tons of it.

There were two bloody footprints that were argued to belong to Sollecito. Very inconclusive but there was a very clear bloody footprint that belonged to Guede as well as blood, hair, semen, fingerprints, and feces.

There was no DNA whatsoever of Amanda Knox at the crime scene. There was some found near a few blood specks in the bathroom sink. However, Amanda lived in that house. She also stated that when she came back to take a shower she noticed a few tiny drops of blood on the edge of the bathroom sink. She never disputed her presence in the bathroom when she came back to the cottage after spending the night @Raffaele's apartment the night of the murder. It was when Amanda noticed the odd blood smear on a bathroom rug, she contacted Raffaele and asked him to come to her place as something "weird" had gone on. The front door had been left open. Meredith's bedroom door was locked & she would not answer when Amanda knocked and tried to awaken her.

The attempt to frame Knox & Sollecito by a deranged prosecutor obsessed w/Satanic orgies failed. As hard as the prosecutor tried to twist the facts & evidence to place the two w/Guede @crime scene, fortunately, Mignini failed no matter how hard he tried to find experts to back him up and claim the evidence pointed to two innocent people.

One of the things that angers those that believe in Knox's guilt is her behavior after the murder. Rather than flee immediately to Germany to her aunt as her mother suggested, Knox foolishly elected to stay in Perugia to assist in the police investigation into the murder of her roommate. The other two roommates were smarter or both had better advisors, as they immediately left Perugia, one to England and the other to another part of Italy.

Famous news photos and videos show Knox and Sollecito outside of the cottage where Meredith lay inside and cops were collecting evidence. Rather than screaming and crying, the two are in shock and sat quietly. At one point they kissed. That one photo was plastered all over the British tabloids to "prove" that the two were sex-obsessed and evil murderers who could care less that they had just murdered a young woman for kicks.

Also it was widely reported that Amanda exercised, stretched and did cartwheels in the police station where she had been sitting for hours. This was offered as further "proof" that a nerdy young college student was actually a sociopathic murderer.

Found in Meredith's bedroom was a hair described as that of an "African". When the Keystone Kops detectives of Perugia questioned Amanda they insisted she must know a black man that visited the cottage where the murder took place. Perugia is a very small town. The police knew a black man named Patrick Lumumba owned a bar popular with the college students. Amanda worked there part time. In fact, Lumumba had texted her earlier that evening and told Amanda not to come in the evening of November 1 as business was slow. Amanda texted him back, "Ci vediamo" which is a commonly used Italian phrase for "We'll see each other" or "See you" - meaning some random future time. Detectives used this text message to insist Amanda had planned to be with Lumumba later in the evening after she texted him. Which is ridiculous.

Ci vediamo means, "We will see each other"...some time...any time. It's not specific. This is another clear attempt of the cops' desperation to set up the "promiscuous druggie" Amanda & her boyfriend as the main suspects whilst the true murderer was on a train to Germany after spending the night of the murder dancing in a disco getting drunk with the cash he stole from Meredith's bag after he murdered and raped her.

After 25 hours of questioning, harassment and badgering in a foreign language, Amanda, a terrified 19-year old, caved in and said bar owner and occasional employer Patrick Lumumba "might" have been at the cottage where Amanda and Meredith lived. Those that hate Amanda and believe in her guilt hold the fact that she implicated Lumumba who had been in his bar all evening the night of the crime "proves" Amanda is a deeply evil person easily capable of murder.

Amanda openly admits that this lie was a huge mistake. She has paid for it many times over. However, many people in the history of jurisprudence have lied or even confessed to crimes they did not commit after extreme harassment by police. That does not make Knox or any of the other thousands of people that make false statements or confessions criminals and murderers.

There simply never was any evidence against Amanda Knox - or Raffael Sollecito. The two were framed by a lunatic prosecutor and lost 4 years of their lives falsely imprisoned. They endured two murder trials amid a fury of mass hysteria created by British tabloids to make tons of money -- and it worked. People still debate this case although it's very plain that Guede raped & murdered Kercher solo and had his sentence reduced for lying @behest of prosecution to implicate two innocent college students in the wild 'n' crazy Satanic orgy theme.

Sad story all around as the extremely dangerous Guede will be released from prison in 2018 -- just two short years from now.

Much of the so-called evidence was contaminated by the Keystone Kops of Perugia.

So first there was no evidence at all, now there was evidence but was contaminated.

DNA evidence on a knife taken from Sollecito's was - are you ready? - bread.

No it wasn't bread. http://themurderofmeredithkercher.com/The_Double_DNA_Knife
Cite and source via Massei/Nencini were it was established by the court as bread, thanks.
Another knife the prosecution claimed was a murder weapon could not have been so as the blade was the wrong size for the wounds. [/quote]
There was only one knife submitted as the murder weapon, which was the one from Sollecito's apt which was found "absolutely compatible" with the fatal wound by Massei and also accepted by the Nencini appellate court as the murder weapon.

The prosecutor was desperate to build a case against Knox & Sollecito to prove his theory of a drug-fueled Satanic orgy that ended in a bloody murder.

No he didn't. no mention of Satanism is made at the Massei trial, please cite and source verbatim where this was mooted via the Massei court transcripts or Massei report.

Solelcito's DNA is certainly on the bra clasp and was accepted as evidence by the courts. Cite and source via the Massei or Nencini reports where Solelcito's DNA was found to be really Meredith's. Complete falsehood by you right there.

Provide evidence that the prosecutor was deranged, obsessed w/Satanic orgies and provide evidence they were framed. Otherwise you're simply raving.

Your next three paragraphs are simply dribble so not worth entertaining or addressing.

Found in Meredith's bedroom was a hair described as that of an "African"
.
No there wasn't, please show were this was submitted as evidence.

When the Keystone Kops detectives of Perugia questioned Amanda they insisted she must know a black man that visited the cottage where the murder took place.

No they didn't.

Knox claimed she first mentioned Patrick in her own book p84 and in her own testimony claimed the cops didn't mention Patrick first.
There wasn't a ton of DNA evidence against Guede either and he was convicted on less DNA evidence than Amanda Knox

Hey, look at that! She's not crazy, she's being chased by a cheetah!

reply

Problem is that she is actually a horrible murdering b!tch isn't she...

There is no doubt she would be behind bars if it wasn't for the ineptitude of the Italian police...!

reply

Not true, but those that love to hate Amanda Knox and won't accept her innocence [as well as that of Raffaele Sollecito] refuse to actually examine the evidence in this tragic murder case. It appears it's much more fun to generate endless hate than to be happy that two innocent people were finally exonerated of a frame up by a Perugian prosecutor convicted of corruption and abuse of power.

What's interesting is that most guilters rarely mention Meredith or Raffaele or Guede or Mignini.

It's always the "murdering bitch" etc.

It's a modern internet lunch mob

Truly quite frightening

reply

Pro justice posters always mention Meredith and have never claimed that Guede or Sollecito were innocent. No reason to mention Mignini.
Stop lying that they were fully exonerated. Cite verbatim via the Bruno/Marasca report where the court "fully exonerate" Knox and Sollecito. Guede's gotten a new review of his conviction due to the anomalies in the acquitting report. Hope you're happy.

Hey, look at that! She's not crazy, she's being chased by a cheetah!

reply

Yes it is frightening. It was the exact same way with Casey Anthony. Casey was found innocent and people just won't accept it.
The internet was the worst thing ever invented.

If you don't like 'em then why don't you stop bitching about what other people have taken the time to do and write your own fυcking review.

Normal Is A Myth.

reply

Oh God I can only imagine it

Amanda Knox the best documentary every made and film too tells the true story about how sweet innocent hot lovable hot hippie gilr Amanda Knox ended up being the hot railroaded hot victim of a witch hunt by nasty foreigners who weren't as hot as Amanda and were jealous of her for being so hot and having such a hot sex life which I really feel that the documentary should have covered more with pics and sex tapes and stuff. The REAL villains were Italy, Italians, black guys, the media and most of all Mignini and Nick Pisa who prolly conspired together against innocent hot Amanda over Satanism.
As for the Kerchers*Next 7 paragraphs attacks the victim's family* ...
...and in conclusion Amanda was TOTALLY AND COMPLETEY 100% EXONERATED and she's so hot that she couldn't have done it. Unfortunately I can only rate it 10/10 but really this documentary transcends sheer ratings and is better than Goodfellas and that film about the slave that won a bunch of Oscars combined!!

Hey, look at that! She's not crazy, she's being chased by a cheetah!

Regarding your last paragraph - you're right; it is very troubling. When Nick Pisa basically says, "When I get a good story, what am I supposed to do, take time to actually fact check and possibly lose my scoop?", that says it all about our "news" outlets these days. Nothing but trashy gossip rags which care more about ratings (no matter how they get them) than the truth. IMO they should be held culpable in some way.
