Good Will Hunting in a different packaging *SPOILERS AHEAD*

The movie wasn't bad, but the first half could have been trimmed.. Shah Rukh Khan gave a wonderfully understated performance as the psychiatrist. However, and no disrespect to fans of the lead actress, I thought her performance, at least for the first two acts, were a little over the top, for my taste. There were times where her portrayal of anger, and other range of emotions didn't feel like it stemmed from a huge chip on her shoulder, but sophomoric. That being said, she has a future to hone in on those nuances, I'm sure!

As for originality of the film - IMHO, the central plot was as the subject line suggests;
A volatile, yet talented young individual, whose current course is the outcome of a painful experience as a child. Said individual finds solace and comfort in a group of friends. Crosses paths with an out of the box psychiatrist whose approach isn't clinical, but worldly, in oeder to correct the individual's course.

But perspectives may differ.
