People criticizing Leo for flying a plane are ignorant

Fact.

Leo has a bigger carbon footprint than us. Yes it's true. But he's also done more than any average person to offset it. Have you guys made a FREE documentary to raise awareness? No? What about meeting with world leaders to raise concern? Nope.

Or what about donating over 15 million to climate change and environmental conservation? Didn't think so.

Edit: scratch that 15 million off. The article says since he founded his organization he's donated 59 million.

People who criticize him are obviously too stupid to understand what carbon offsets are, let alone appreciate all Leo has done for the environment.

They're also the morons who deny climate change exists, which is basically a one question IQ test.

You need to learn what a fact is.

He emits an awful lot more than us poor plebs. His behaviour is hurting the cause he defends. Covering your carbon footprint with dollar bills doesn't solve the problem. The carbon offsets he uses (tree planting) doesn't do much because it doesn't offset carbon coming from fossil fuel. The carbon in those trees will go back in the atmosphere when they burn or rot.

People and world leaders have known about climate change for decades. There's plenty of awareness to go around. His movie is already forgotten.

EDIT: I just read that he offsets his yearly 11 ton carbon print. 11 tons? The average american emits 20 tons a year. Does he really think he emits less than average?
