The main characters just didn't have a lot of chemistry with each other. I think it was a cute movie but not one I'll want to watch every Christmas. I believed the character of Nick much more than his counterpart. Not bad...but not a Christmas favorite unfortunately.

It's by Richard Paul Evans--probably the best Christmas novelist in the world! That's probably why it bothers me so much that they would change it up. The book has the same cute premise, but also some major depth.
I thought that they had good chemistry. Trust me, I know tv/movie couples. They had a fair amount. No, they are not the best/hottest couple ever. They were good though. I saw his feelings for sure, I'm not sure about hers. Maybe he rescued her? Bought her a lot of presents? Somewhat talked, and she was pretty vulnerable telling him about Dan. I liked the movie, it was a movie that made me feel. I love most movies but not all of them make me feel like this one. Trust me, I know feelings and chemistry. It was good. No, they aren't in the top 5 hottest of all time but good. It would be pretty rare to be in the top 5 or top 10 of all time.
There are some movies out there where the couples dont have the best chemistry like The Christmas Card...but the movie as a whole is still very good. This one was just blah. Maybe with different casting. They just didn't show depth of feeling... Like they are drawn to each other and have to struggle to stay apart. Nothing about these two made me think they were madly in love or should end up with each other. No Christmas magic here.

Well, considering the purpose of which they started out for... think they weren't SUPPOSED to have chemistry, compatible or combustible. But yeah... Nick got more chemistry with Ashley than Elise.
Story was nice. Maybe it was the casting. Looking more forward to Loughlin and Ferguson's movie next week.
She's smart and wanted to show falling in love doesn't mean the prince rescues the princess. She owns her own business. She had been cheated on and she didn't fall in love on a car rude. She rescued him.
Exactly! Why is nobody talking about the obvious lack of the ending. Her ex-husband and that story line was a huge part of the movie and yet they left that part unanswered. It ruined the entire movie for me.
