OMG.....

This is so bad!!!! I know that Nia Long and Idina Menzel can act. I've seen them in other things. I'm just trying to understand. Did Lifetime direct them to act the way they did? It was just horrible, amateurish, unbelievable (that argument!!???!!!!) and just plain bad. I didn't buy it for a minute that they were in their early twenties or thirties. It was cheesy. UGHHHH!!!!! I'm just so upset that what could have been great was just TRASH!!!! Not one conversation seemed genuine not the words. Not the tone. Poor, poor acting!!!!!!

I blame Trump for everything. It rained today. Thanks a lot Trump!!!!

Same thought going thru my mind in the first 10 minutes, it was dreadful and the acting couldn't have been any worse.

I totally agree. I really wanted to like it, but I thought it was a stinker for sure.

I was looking forward to this because of all the hype, boy what a let down. I've seen both actresses in other things, but them in this was a disaster. I understand its a different time period we have cellphones, smoking is bad, the character of Leona was nonexistent. So much was removed classic lines; Hillary"thats my robe." The original I balled my eyes through, this I never shed a tear except at hearing "The wind beneath my wings"
and even that was short.

This wasn't entirely bad,but it wasn't entirely good.

For one, Nia Long and Indina Menzel are both great actresses, but the thought of them as best friends forever both delights me, but also feels odd. I mean, and I'm pretty sure I'm types casting here, watching both actresses careers and characters they have played in the past, they seem to have this "odd couple" flare to them, that excites me,but at the same time almost not made me buy their friendship. I mean, friends yeah, but ride or die besties, I don't see it.

Now I know it's wrong to compare it to the original, but it seems like the original had something that this one was missing. Unlike most people who grew up watching it, I grew up watching my mom watch it until I eventually watched it for myself. The original seemed like it had a kind of love for the storytelling of the two best friends. It seemed genuine. This one, like others have mentioned seemed as if it was made for other reasons than to tell the story, even more so when it came to the furniture ad.

Overall, I liked it, but I felt like it lacked genuine effort.

I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did the original but thought perhaps it would be entertaining on its own terms. In the first five minutes I knew I was in for a train wreck. Rushed. Wooden. Boring. I finally started fast-forwarding.
