Phoning It In

Anyone else feel like they were phoning it in? The lines I mean. Even the songs I felt there was no emotion she was just trying to hit as many high notes as possible. I missed the emotion you got from the characters epsically at the end. The little girl was. Owner near as bratty as she should have been and Barbra played a dying women much better. When you looked at her it looked like she was waisti g away. The makeup department should have done a much better job with Nina.

I definitely felt they were phoning - and "phony-ing" - it in. There was zero chemistry between the two leads.

It was terrible in part, because, (and I admit the first adaptation was cheesy), the script and accelerated pace was awful.

All of the lines were expository. They told us the facts of their relationship, but we never actually saw any of it.

The first film was no masterpiece, but the stuff they just recited the facts of their feelings instead of showing it.
